For a thousand years the dwellers of Dreamland fought a mighty foe
In terror it reigned, denizen of pain, lurking down below
“Twas a ghastly ghost that haunted in the shadows, a fiery fearsome thing
‘Twas a thief in the night, enemy of light, that soared on leathery wings

Dragon, guardian of the mystery, keeper of the hidden holy grail
Dragon, portal of the passage beyond the dreamer’s veil

Many valiant warriors raised their swords to slay the dreadful beast
The magicians wove spells sending it to hell, but all met with defeat
The priests invoked for holy deliverance, that God might right this wrong
